Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the Use of the New Singapore Brand Logo

Important Notice: The current logo will cease from 1st January 2024 and shall be replaced by the New Singapore Brand Logo with terms and conditions to safeguard the integrity and quality of the programme.


1. Purpose:

The purpose of this Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is to outline the guidelines and procedures for the use of the Singapore Brand logo to maintain its authenticity and credibility.


2. Scope:

This SOP applies to all current and prospective members of Singapore Brands who wish to use the Singapore Brand logo in their marketing and promotional materials.



3. Assessment of Suitability Guidelines:

3.1. Membership Requirement:

To be eligible to use the Singapore Brand logo, an organization must be a current member of Singapore Brands.


3.2. Renewal Requirement:

Current members must renew their membership annually to continue using the Singapore Brand logo. Renewal fee for current members is $488 per year. Renewal must be completed by December 1st of each year.


3.3. New Membership Applicants:

Organizations that are not current members of Singapore Brands must apply for membership to use the Singapore Brand logo.

New membership applicants will be subject to a membership fee of $688 for the first year.


3.4. Assessment of Suitability:

All organizations, whether current members or new applicants, will undergo an assessment of suitability to use the Singapore Brand logo.

The assessment will consider factors such as the organization's commitment to upholding the highest standards of business ethics and excellence, its alignment with the values of Singapore Brands, and its track record of contributing positively to the business community.


3.5. Usage Limits:

Approved users of the Singapore Brand logo will be subject to limits on the number of products or services for which the logo can be used.

Usage limits will ensure that the logo is used appropriately and consistently with our standards and guidelines.


4. Application Process:

Organizations seeking to use the Singapore Brand logo must submit an application to Singapore Brands. The application should include details about the organization's background, its commitment to excellence and ethical business practices, and a list of products or services for which the logo will be used.


5. Review and Approval:

The applications will be reviewed by Singapore Brands' assessment committee.

The committee will assess the suitability of the applicant based on the guidelines mentioned in section 3.4. Approved applicants will be granted permission to use the Singapore Brand logo.


6. Monitoring and Compliance:

Organizations that are approved to use the logo will be monitored for ongoing compliance with the guidelines. Failure to adhere to the guidelines may result in the revocation of logo usage privileges.


7. Publication of Certified Singapore Brands:

Starting from January 1st, 2024, Singapore Brands will publish a list of certified Singapore Brands on its website. This list will inform the public and consumers of the businesses that have met the stringent standards set by Singapore Brands.
